Coppell Community Garden was selected to be a part of the Million Tomato Compost Campaign.  Growing tomotoes to donate to the Metrocrest Social Services food pantry and using compost to build the tomato growing soil are both part of the fabric of the community gardens. What will be different this year is the BIG delivery of Texas Pure compost to Ground Delivery Garden and tracking the number of pounds of tomatoes grown in the compost and donated to families in need.   

The community gardens have brunches throughout the year where the gardeners gather after the harvest and bring something from their own kitchen to share.  Here is a collection of recipes from Ground Delivery Garden brunch in September 2012.
