Classes

The Coppell Community Garden is committed to providing educational opportunities for the community to learn about sustainable food and living options. Leaders from the garden sit on the Keep Coppell Beautiful Environmental Education Committee, which offers monthly educational classes and seminars throughout the year. The classes are timely according to planting seasons and inspired by the common issues and curiosities that many gardeners seem to have.

Classes typically take place at the Biodiversity Education Center (link), but occasionally may take place in one of the gardens.

Educational offerings include organic vegetable gardening, soil amendment, rain barrels and rainwater harvesting, composting, organic lawn care and many other topics. To suggest additional topics and provide feedback, email the Environmental Education Committee at kcb@coppelltx.gov.
